NEB 2 - New Energies Bolivia 2025: Behind the Battery
Pioneers in the future of lithium batteries and energy storage
Online, broadcast from Potosí · 14 May 2025
New Energies Bolivia: Behind the Battery 2025 was more than a conference * it was a platform built to connect global expertise with Bolivia's potential in clean energy. As the world accelerates toward sustainable energy, NEB 2 brought together leading academics and researchers to explore advances in lithium battery technology and energy storage.
The program centered on three themes: Materials Innovation, covering state-of-the-art cathode, anode, and electrolyte technologies; Optimized Manufacturing, focused on production techniques that improve efficiency and lower cost; and Battery Research Applications, examining how lithium technology shapes mobility, renewable integration, and beyond. Throughout, the event worked to open business opportunities and connect decision-makers across the sector.
Organizing partners
NEB 2 was convened by AV Consult Bolivia, the Universidad Autónoma Tomás Frías (UATF), and the National Academy of Sciences of Bolivia — the institution that promotes, directs, and executes scientific research nationally and sets the foundations for science, technology, and innovation in the service of productive development and social inclusion.
