AV Consult Bolivia today formally announced the renewal of its strategic Inter-Institutional Cooperation Agreement (Convenio Marco) with the Universidad Autónoma “Tomás Frías” (UATF) and its Department of Chemistry. This renewed three-year partnership reinforces a shared, long-term commitment to advancing Bolivia’s scientific, technological, and industrial capabilities— placing an intensified strategic focus on joint investigative studies utilizing cutting-edge clean technologies from Tier-1 international partners.

The ongoing collaboration between AV Consult and UATF serves as a vital bridge connecting academic rigor with industrial execution. A major milestone of this synergy was the successful facilitation of a Technical Cooperation Agreement between UATF and French technology leader Adionics. Through this joint investigation, proprietary Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) technology was rigorously tested on native brine samples from the Potosí region, proving the feasibility of high-efficiency, clean lithium extraction without chemical pollution or excessive water consumption.

The renewed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) consolidates these historical achievements, establishing a robust operational framework. This agreement empowers university researchers, students, and international engineering teams to evaluate, adapt, and scale clean, innovative industrial technologies in real-world Bolivian conditions.

As Bolivia accelerates its industrial expansion and sustainable energy transition, the renewed AV Consult–UATF partnership prioritizes four strategic pillars designed to foster innovation and technological sovereignty:

AV Consult will continue aligning Tier-1 international partners possessing proven Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) and clean energy technologies to conduct joint technical validation and applied scientific investigations within UATF laboratories.

Collaborative R&D programs will target the sustainable development of regional evaporitic resources, metallic and non-metallic mining optimization, basic chemistry applications, and industrial environmental management.

The agreement creates structured pathways for student internships, professional practicums, technical visits, and national or international scientific missions for top performing chemistry students and teaching researchers.

AV Consult will actively manage global institutional relationships and identify bilateral or multilateral funding sources (governments, foundations, multinationals) to execute R&D projects without generating financial obligations for the university.
